Well, in a few days I intend to start working on the next version of Electro. I\'d like to spend a week or so just planning, and I\'d like to get your input!

If you have any ideas about what you\'d like to see in the next version, please post them here. I will look through everything and try to get as much of it as possible included.

My intention is to release at least one 1.x version, probably a 1.5, which will include some of the simpler things to implement. The more complex functions will likely wait for v2.0. What constitutes "simpler" is the things I can implement without a huge effort!

I have some ideas of my own already which include:

(1) The ability to select what tool get installed so that the installed application size can be less (this is a v2.0 thing for sure though)

(2) Along the lines of the above, I want to come up with a way to compress as much of the data as possible to further reduce the executable\'s size

(3) AC Ohm\'s Law including power.

(4) 555 timer designer (there is an excellent program available that does this for the PocketPC, I intend to take it a step further so that you can calculate any field instead of just certain ones)

(5) Capacitor color codes

(6) Semiconductor cross-reference

I have some other ideas, but this is a start.

So, please feel free to post any suggestions you have, they will all be considered. Thanks all!

Note: Have you thought of working on a Physics Program?

Excellent Program, 4000 Series IC\'s as well as 7400\'s could be added, also Footprint Packages (TO3, TO92, DO214a etc) Maybe manufacturers Logo\'s (don\'t you just hate it when you dont know who made that chip!!, Can\'t think of much else and I\'m an engineer!!

Keep up the good work, This is the only program I know of it\'s type. Promote it MORE..

Could there posssibly be an interface to add your own IC chips to Electro, since it would be redicoulous to add every chip to the reference but some users may want to add a few specific ones.

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone. Please be sure that I am not ignoring any of them! Progress has been slower than I\'d hoped on the newer version unfortunately. What I expect to happen is to release a 1.5 version in a month or two that will contain a few new features that I wanted to put in the original release. After that I\'ll get to work on everyone requests, with the ability to edit as much as possible yourself at the top of the list. That will take a substantial amount of reworking, but it is at the top of the list none the less. Keep the ideas coming and thanks everyone!
